Magazine genre

After researching magazines I have found that there are lots aimed at mainstream artists. This means they are often pop or rock magazines. They are often successful so I will use the same genre. However they are often aimed at well known and popular artists which means there is a gap in the market for smaller, lesser known artists. For this reason I have chosen to create an pop/rock magazine about lesser known artists. This will include artists that are just starting out doing small gigs or artists from social media e.g. YouTube.
